Panama City Beach Lobster Festival
It’s time for the Lobster Fest, a favorite Panama City Beach event! This local festival is in its 22nd year and will be happening September 15-18, 2011 at Schooners Last Local Beach Club on Gulf Drive. This fun four day event is packed with events and, of course, delicious lobster that you don’t want to miss.
Thursday kicks the Lobster Fest off with live music and the $500 raffle drawing which happens nightly at 10PM. The party continues on Friday and the dive competition kicks off Saturday. Also happening Saturday is the 13th Annual Schooners Sand Sculpting Contest, a huge event, as well as the lobster mini feast. Weigh-ins on the lobster diving competiton start at 3PM. Sunday is the big day with the Lobster Feast Buffest and Beach Party, auctions, awards and grand prize drawing. For those coming to eat, you won’t be disappointed; everything from lobster gumbo to lobster burgers will be available. Fans of lobster, whether you enjoy diving for them or just eating them, won’t want to miss this fall festival.
